Disregarding flood warnings down Bugbrooke way my folks made it to the Cotswold Wildlife Park today and great time was had by all. Very nice place – particularly since it’s not over-run by touirists (horah for the rain). Arlo went to town (OK not literally) on the train that runs around the park, he pointed at monkeys, he watched the gibbons and he loved the puddles.
We had to distract him from the train with small fluffy goats and chasing my dad who’d run away with the pushchair. Feel breathless just laughing at him let alone keep up with his dashing around.
Yesterday saw Ian and Helen and Brian at the cafe and Arlo was in seventh heaven cos not only did Ian sit next to him as instructed, Ian produced a small laptop computer on whch he could view the In the Night Gardon website. He shoots he scores!
We also went around the Organic market in Bristol while the heavens opened and the rain shot down. I discovered my hat was indeed entirely waterproof while the SuperDry jacket does NOTHING ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about stopping clothes underneath it from getting wet. However, it did redeem itself by drying out and becoming Superdry in a matter of minutes during a break in the weather.
