Heard a new Clive Coleman sitcom on the radio yesterday called ” spending my inheritance’ – 40 year old broke son is dismayed to find his parent spending the money he thought he’d inherit on enjoying their retirement. I was working on pretty much the exact same scenario four years ago. It’s kind of nice to be zeitgeist, but would be nice to be writing it. I shall keep the two ideas I now have close to my chest and not let on till I’ve found time to write them… by which time….

keyed up
And so we have bought a house with no keys. to get into the house we now own i still had to jump the back wall.
ironically the estate agent gave us the bunch of useless keys with a brand now keyring of their attached and their thanks very much for buying a house form us letter also said they were giving us the keys. This is a lie.
This after i told them this morning it was pretty stupid and only now, on the morning of completion do they tell me its really my fault because it was our surveyor. the estate agent then got all moody cos she didn’t want to talk to our surveyor because he was so rude last time, so i closed the issue down. just wait till you see our feedback form…

Good day with Arlo – watched runners, went to park, had patatas bravas in tobacco factory, walked to new house, walked to steam train via South Bank Centre where there was a dancing class he watch and damn near joined in with, saw a fire engine, went on steam train home. All this with the remnants of a cold.
His word count is shooting up and today was a day of doing words. Singing, running, dancing, jumping, marching.
House is exchanged. A weight is lifted. We hope to see it tomorrow and start planning. More lists will ensue and finally finally we will have a house. We’ve been six months between houses, but it will be longer still before we get to move in. And then it will be worth it.
And then we’ll get a camper van as well.
keep forgetting
i should really be tagging these, shouldn’t I? or at least categorising them. But it’s not working. Hell, at least I’m writing something.
