We attempt a Valentine’s cup of coffee and cake in a caff.
“What’s in your flapjack?”
“Raisins and dates.”
“Erm, what else, we need to avoid soya and dairy – food alergies, you see.”
“There’s no dairy in them. There’s butter, but no diary.”
Door closes, cafe is empty again.
Found cake shop with similar cakes to our local, a mean line in sale clothes and an even meaner Caramel Latte Tuffle Supermo with chocolate on the top. Which, truth to tell sounds better than it was.
