I ran 10km yesterday in 55 mins. Ha ha ha! Whether I do it tomorow is down to the logistics of getting out the house.
the Bristol 10K is up on Sunday. I have a running number. I don’t know whether to run or not.
In part it’s a question of having had no time to train. Me and the Garmin were thrown off our stride for two weeks and on return I couldn’t do 3 miles without stopping a couple of times. That changed on Tuesday when I pulled in 4 and a half miles non stop in just over thirty mins. And I haven’t run again since then.
Of course it might be fine. I could pull it together but but but -
- my boys have a tendency to keep me up at night resulting in 4am wanderings which wouldn’t set me up well for a 9.30 racing start.
- If my feet or legs or knackered out too much I’m going to be about as much use around the house as dust.
- If I run a poor race or stop or something due to being knackered I won’t enjoy it.
BUT THERE AGAIN -
- It’s a fastastic thing to do, with a load of people running and yet more cheering.
SO vote now. Do I get in the final training run tomorrow and hit it on Sunday, do I submit to lethargy, or do I just shelve this one and work towards the half marathon in september?
Place bets now.
